What To Do If Your Salary Is Not Sufficient Enough To Sort out Your Bills Per month.

RULE#1 - The rent gets paid before everything else, including food. Trust me, no matter how bad it is, no matter how difficult it seems, it is going to be a THOUSAND TIMES WORSE if you do not have a place indoors to live.

RULE#2 - Anything you don’t have to have, get rid of it. This includes cable TV, netflix, hulu anything else that is a monthly suck on your bank account. I was paying $35 a month for a gym membership. When I was able to get out of it without penalty, I started buying name brand cereal again.

RULE#3 - Have your Iron Rations. This was always a large bulk item that you could buy when you were low on food before payday and you might have to live on for 2–3 days with nothing else. For me it was Ore-Ida crinkle cut french fries, and, if I had enough money, a jar of store brand peanut butter and whole wheat bread. My room mate was top ramen and polish sausage.

RULE#4 - YOU MUST HAVE MONEY COMING IN!!!. Do not take any “job” where they say things like “You could make up to $60K a week!” Go with the one that says “I’ll pay you $0.50 over minimum wage and give you 30 hours a week maximum.” A LOT of people scam on poor desperate people and they WILL separate you from your, desperately needed, cash. Just remember that there is no “job” that requires you to give them money up front. If they want you to pay for a uniform, they can take it out of your check. If your salary isn’t enough to cover your minimum bills, you can ask for a raise, get another job or a different job. Though I have never seen the first of those three actually work.

RULE#5 - Charity, Take whatever anyone is willing to give you. You LITERALLY cannot afford pride. If someone offers you money, put it in your pocket, smile and say “thank you”. Nothing wrong with keeping a mental inventory to later pay back or, better yet, pay it forward.

RULE#6 - Up and out. You need to concentrate on getting some job training, certification, education or something else that can get you a better job and more money. Don’t wait til you’re in a better situation DO IT NOW!
